What We Do
Fertility Evaluation & Treatment
A couple is considered infertile after 1 year of unprotected intercourse without conception. Most causes are identifiable and treatable. Dr. Mazumdar investigates both partners and builds a step-by-step treatment plan.
Investigations for Women
- Thyroid hormone profile
- Serum AMH (ovarian reserve)
- Serum Prolactin
- CBC, fasting and postprandial blood sugar
- Hysterosalpingography (HSG) — to test tubal patency
Investigations for Men
- Semen analysis — count, motility, morphology
- Hormone tests as indicated
- Referral for specialist male factor evaluation if required
Treatment — First Line
- Medicines to improve fertility and correct micro-deficiencies
- Ovulation stimulation to ensure egg release at the right time
- Medicines for the male partner to improve semen quality and sperm count
- Lifestyle and nutritional guidance for both partners
Advanced Treatment (if needed after 6 months)
- IUI — Intrauterine Insemination
- IVF — In Vitro Fertilisation
- ICSI — Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection
- Referral to a trusted ART centre with coordinated care
