A normal pregnancy has three trimesters and lasts for 280 days ( 40 weeks). Common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, back pain, constipation, swelling of the ankles. Complications like bleeding or intra-uterine growth restriction can occur.
The second trimester of pregnancy begins from the end of the 13th week and lasts till the end of the 27th week. It is a more pleasant time of pregnancy with less uncomfortable symptoms.
